15 years of somatic practice · 150,000+ women reached worldwide · Founder of the Somatic Institute for Women
Many women have been taught, directly or indirectly, that sensuality belongs to the young, the beautiful, the chosen, the partnered, the still-desired.
But that is not sensuality.
Sensuality is not a reward for proximity to an ideal.
Sensuality is for every woman in any season of her life, even when the world no longer reflects your worth back to you.
This is why reclaiming sensuality matters.
The Sensuous Collective is a monthly space for somatic practice and shadow work — with guidance, depth, and company.
Â
The Sensuous Collective is a space devoted to remembering the sensuous woman in her organic expression.
Each month you will be asked big questions, invited to lean into the uncomfortable, and called to challenge your inherited conditioning and beliefs.
Â
THROUGH SOMATIC PRACTICES, SHADOW WORK, SENSUAL MOVEMENT PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY, WE EXPLORE WHAT IT MEANS TO INHABIT THE SENSUAL OUTSIDE OF THE SCRIPTS WE’VE BEEN GIVEN AS WOMEN.

Why so many women feel exiled from their own sensuality
That it is reserved for the woman whose body fits the standard, whose life appears intact, whose femininity is still validated by the gaze of others - it is one of the more intimate distortions of internalized misogyny: the belief that a woman’s aliveness becomes more legitimate when it is pleasing, more valuable when it is wanted, and more real when it is affirmed by the gaze of others.
From a very young age, many women are not simply taught how to be - we are taught how to be seen. How to arrange ourselves inside a choreography of acceptability. Be beautiful, but effortless. Be sensual, but never excessive. Be desirable, but not inconvenient. Be expressive, but still contained. Be available, but never fully sovereign.
Over time, these messages do not stay external. They move inward. They become part of the way a woman evaluates herself, edits herself, and relates to her own body.Â
This is how internalized misogyny lives on -
not only in institutions or relationships, but in the private spaces of the psyche, in the nervous system, in the subtle habits of self-surveillance. A woman learns to watch herself even when no one is watching. She becomes both the judged and the judge.
One of the deepest losses many women carry: not only the pressure to be desirable, but the quiet exile from their own sensual nature.
Sensuality belongs to every woman because it is not a performance of worth. It is a way of inhabiting aliveness.Â
It belongs to the elder, whose body carries time not as failure, but as depth. It belongs to the mother, whose body has stretched, labored, nourished, and known forms of intimacy that cannot be reduced to appearance. It belongs to the widow, whose body still holds longing, grief, tenderness, memory, and the pulse of life after loss. It belongs to the unpartnered woman, who is learning that her capacity for intimacy does not depend on being chosen. It belongs to the woman who has lived outside beauty standards, who has been overlooked, misread, or taught that her body exists beyond the borders of the erotic, the beautiful, or the sacred.
It belongs to the woman in perimenopause. The woman in grief. The woman rebuilding after heartbreak. The woman recovering from years of self-abandonment. The woman who has spent so long being what was needed of her that she no longer knows what she herself feels.

SENSUALITY IS OUR CAPACITY TO FEEL. TO INHABIT OURSELVES THROUGH THE BODY. TO KNOW PLEASURE WITH OUT ANYONE ELSE AROUND. IT IS TO BELONG TO YOURSELF THROUGH YOUR EMBODIMENT.
Â
Sensuality is for every women in any season of her life, even when the world no longer reflects your
worth back to you.
This is why reclaiming sensuality matters.Â
In this online community, we bring into awareness the parts of ourselves that have been hidden, rejected, silenced, exiled, and left unseen.
We turn toward our shadow ( the unconscious)Â not as something to fix, but as something to understand.Â
Together, we begin to see the ways we have abandoned ourselves as women in service to stories that were never truly ours.
In a world that demands perfection, performance, and endless self-improvement from women, we come here to unravel.
To unmask.
To soften our grip on who we think we should be.
To remember ourselves in the company of other women.
To sit together and rediscover who we are when we relax into our own presence, into the sensuous, into the aliveness that has always lived within us.
Each month you will be asked big questions, invited to lean into the uncomfortable, and called to challenge your inherited conditioning and beliefs.
Through this path, you’ll receive one of the biggest gifts ever - To experience the shadow as an ally and a source of power, rather than seeing it as something to be ashamed of and push away.
Shadow work demands us to face truth in the eye and sayÂ
“Yes - I want to know myself in the deepest way possible, even if it means I have to let go of the things that keep me safe in a world that requires me to be anything but who I really am - powerful, free & fully embodied.”
A Personal Message From Maanee
My dear, Sensuality has been one of my most profound teachers.
Not sensuality as the world defines it — not the performance of desire, not the curated image, not the body made palatable for consumption. I mean the raw, quiet, alive intelligence of a body that has learned to trust itself again.
For most of us, the road back to our sensuous nature runs directly through the places where we learned it wasn’t safe to feel. Through the shame. The disconnection. The numbness that so many women have mistaken for peace.
What I’ve discovered, through fifteen years of this work, is that the body doesn’t forget. Beneath the conditioning, beneath the performance, beneath the exhaustion — the sensuous self is still there. Patient. Alive. Ready.
The Sensuous Collective is the space I wish I had earlier in my journey. Somewhere to return to the body slowly, in the company of women who understand why this isn’t indulgent — it’s necessary.
Your first month is free. Come in, feel the space, and see if it’s for you. I’ll be there.
With love
